Fruitful outcomes reached during Shandong Week in Japan and South Korea

According to the unified deployment of Shandong provincial government, the delegation of provincial enterprises organized by SASAC of Shandong Province went to Japan and South Korea successively to participate in Shandong Week series activities to further deepen the exchange and cooperation with Japanese and South Korean enterprises.

In Japan, the delegation attended Shandong (Tokyo) Investment Cooperation Conference and Sino-Japanese Health Care for Elderly Cooperation Conference, visited some of the Fortune Global 500 enterprises and well-known Japanese enterprises including Sumitomo, Mitsubishi, Itochu, Mitsui, Toshiba Energy, Hanshin Expressway, Ube, and Nippon Light Metal, as well as institutions such as SHIP Medical Heavy Ion Center, Spring and Autumn Health Care Facility and Weichai Power Science and Technology Innovation Center.

During the period in South Korea, the delegation attended Shandong-South Korean Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and New Product Release Conference, and Sino-South Korean Local Economic Cooperation and FTA Policy Promotion Conference, paid a visit to Pohang Iron and Steel Company, GS Global, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Korea Highway Corporation, and Dawonsys Corporation and other Fortune Global 500 and well-known South Korean enterprises, with cooperation talks held focusing on fields of new energy and new material, high-end equipment and modern marine.

A great number of contracts and cooperation memorandums were signed between Chinese and Japanese and South Korean enterprises and institutions during the event.

Through the series of activities, the delegation further deepened the strategic cooperation with a number of Fortune Global 500 and famous enterprises of Japanese and South Korea, reached fruitful cooperation outcomes with the enterprises in such areas as clean energy, new material, modern marine, health care for elderly, intellectual manufacturing, logistics and trade, industrial informatization, infrastructure construction and commercial aircraft leasing. The event is conducive to provincial enterprises to learn advanced technologies, management experience and operation modes from their Japanese and South Korean counterparts, promote the development of new industries and achieve the high-quality development.
