Press conference of 2014 Forum on Development of China’s Gingko Industry

2014 Forum on Development of China’s Gingko Industry, namely The 2nd China Tancheng Gingko Products Fair will be held on Nov. 8 to 9, 2014 in Tancheng County, Linyi City. Press conference of the forthcoming gingko fair was held at Linyi News Building on Oct.10, 2014 in Linyi by the organizing committee to impart the news of the event.

Four activities including Forum on Development of China’s Gingko Industry, The 2nd China Tancheng Gingko Trees Fair, Gingko Products Fair and Investment Conference of Gingko Industry will be organized during the two-day event, officials of People’s Government of Tancheng County said.

Tancheng, The County of Gingko, is located at the south tip of Linyi City, Shandong Province. With the sub-humid continental monsoon climate featuring four distinct seasons and rich soils, Tancheng has particularly good conditions for agricultural production, especially for gingko. Beyond that, Tancheng has a time-honored tradition of planting gingko. Historical records show that the oldest gingko tree in Xincun Town of Tancheng County was planted during Emperor Yuan’s region (about 40 B.C.) of Western Han Dynasty. Besides, about 20 thousands of gingko trees of more than one hundred years grow very well here.

With the ongoing development and improvement of gingko industrial chain over the years, gingko industry has become the pillar industry of Tancheng. Based on its profound history of gingko, Tancheng was named as The County of Gingko in China in 1999. Additionally, Tancheng’s gingko was patented as TANCHENGYINXING by the Trademark Office under the State Administration for Industry & Commerce in July, 2009.
