Data: Linyi’s logistics achieve 2.8 trillion yuan in 2017

Linyi, April, 2 (Linyi China) – Data unveiled by Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee and Shandong Provincial Bureau of Statistics shows volume of Linyi’s logistics in 2017 totaled 2.8 trillion yuan, ranking the second after Qingdao City in Shandong with a year-on-year rise of 7.7 percent. For the total logistics volume achieved jointly by seventeen cities of Shandong Province, Linyi accounts for 11.2 percent.

According to official statistics, Linyi has achieved a stable performance while at the same time securing progress in its economic and social development. Based on this, logistics industry has played an increasing role as mainstay industry and growth engine of Linyi’s economic growth. Spurred by the Belt and Road Initiative, trade volume of Linyi Trade City in 2017 amounted to 455.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 20.3 percent. Industrial added value increased by 6.2 percent, laying a solid foundation for the development of logistics.

In order to upgrade Linyi’s economic structure by accelerating the shift from old drivers of growth to new ones, a series of new logistics industries have been introduced, adding momentum tothe development of Linyi’s logistics.
