视听山东·临沂 | Time for the elderly, Chinese Chongyang Festival

Zai Linyi, the News app of Linyi's leading news agency Linyi Daily, launched a photography activity to take photos for the elderly aged 65 or above on the Double Ninth Festival which falls on Oct 23 this year.

The Double Ninth Festival falls on the ninth day of the ninth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. When clear and refreshing autumn arrives and chrysanthemums envelope the world, it's time for the Chinese Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. In Chinese folklore, the number nine is the largest number - it's a homonym to the Chinese wordjiu,which contains the auspicious meaning of "a long and healthy life".
