Linyi Airport passes the examination and approval and opens to public in 1998.

 In order to stimulate the rapid growth Linyi’s economy, 220 million yuan is invested by Linyi Municipal Party Committee and Linyi Municipal Government to expand Linyi Airport. After the accomplishment, Linyi Airport passes the examination and approval and opens to public on December 26, 1998.
