Linyi Airport

Built up in 1958, Linyi Airport is the first the only airport for civil aviation in Shandong Province. In order to stimulate the rapid growth Linyi’s economy, 220 million yuan was invested by Linyi Municipal Party Committee and Linyi Municipal Government to expand Linyi Airport in 1994. After the accomplishment, Linyi Airport passed the examination and approval and opened to public on December 26, 1998.

 

Linyi Airport opened its first international airline to South Korea’s Kangwon-do/ Jeollanam-do on June 28, 2015.

Passengers in Linyi Airport witnessed the first fly of Linyi’s international airline flew to South Korea’s Kangwon-do/ Jeollanam-do from Guilin (southwest China’s Guangxi Province) on June 28, 2015. As the first international flight opened by Linyi Airport, the flight taken by A319 of Beijing Capital Airlines and has 3 flights every week.

 

Linyi Airport opened international airline to Siem Reap, Cambodia on January 15,2018.

An international airline links Linyi City, east China’s Shandong Province and Siem Reap, Cambodia opened on January 15,2018. With the first international flight to South Korea opened in 2016 and the second to Thailand opened in 2017, this is the third international airline opened by Linyi Airport.

With capacity of 179 passengers, the flight will be operated by Airbus 320 run by Cambodia’s Sky Angkor Airlines. For flight schedule, outbound flights leave Linyi at 08:30 a.m. and arrive in Siem Reap at 01:55 p.m., the return flights depart Siem Reap at 02:35 p.m. and arrives in Linyi at 06:35 p.m.

With three international airlines offering services to South Korea, Thailand, and Cambodia, Linyi Airport opened its fourth international route to Nha Trang, middle Vietnam’s Khánh Hòa Province on January 17. This is the second international airline opened by Linyi Airport this year, following the international route to Siem Reap, Cambodia opened on January 15. With capacity of 179 passengers, the flight will be operated by Airbus 320 run by Vietnam’s Jetstar Pacific Airlines.

It’s important to note that the flights schedule varies in different months: in January, outbound flights leave Linyi at 03:50 p.m. and arrive in Nha Trang at 07:30 p.m., the return flights depart Nha Trang at 09:50 a.m. and arrive in Linyi at 02:40 p.m.; in February, outbound flights will leave Linyi at 10:25 p.m. and arrive in Nha Trang at 01:35 a.m., the return flights will depart Nha Trang at 04:25 p.m. and arrives in Linyi at 09:20 p.m.

 

Linyi Airport opened international airline to Phuket Island, Thailand on Novmber 27,2018

In addition, a plane took off in Phuket Island, Thailand landed at Linyi Airport on Novmber 27, 2018, marking another international flight was successfully opened by Linyi Airport.
