The 6th China Linyi International Trade and Logistics Fair kicked off

Mr. Lin Fenghai, Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee of Linyi and Director of Standing Committee of People’s Congress of Linyi delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the 6th China Linyi International Trade and Logistics Fair.

Linyi, Oct. 19 (Linyi China) – Attendees witnessed a grand opening ceremony of the 6th China Linyi International Trade and Logistics Fair at Linyi International Exhibition & Convention Center in Linyi City, East China’s Shandong Province on October. 18. Mr. Zhang Shuping, Mayor of Linyi City chaired the opening ceremony. Mr. Lin Fenghai, Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee of Linyi and Director of Standing Committee of People’s Congress of Linyi delivered a welcoming speech. In particular, Mr. Kim Youn Ju, Mayor of Gunpo, the Republic of Korea attended the opening ceremony and delivered a special speech for the Fair.

With the theme of “commerce and trade connecting the world, jointly building gear and new Linyi”, the 6th China Linyi International Trade & Logistics Fair arranged 8 exhibition zones, namely, import goods, wood-based industry, building materials, E-commerce logistics, household appliance and kitchen utensil, labor protection appliance, rosewood furniture, Muslim food, etc. providing over 4000 booths with an exhibiting area of over 30,000 square meters. During the trade fair, a series of activities will be held, such as, 2015 China (Linyi) E-commerce exchange and promotion conference, the 2nd China (Linyi) artificial board conference, 2015 China (Linyi) investment promotion meeting, 2015 international souring conference, the seminar on Linyi trading complex’s integration into “Belt and Road Initiative”.

According to Mr. Lin Fenghai, Linyi has been giving full play to the advantage of trade and logistics and vigorously implement the strategy of the internationalization of Linyi trading complex. With a series of supportive policies, Linyi Trading Complex was approved and implemented “tourism purchasing pattern”, overall pilot reform of international trade, etc.. Linyi Bonded Area has successfully passed the national acceptance test. At present, Linyi is committed to the establishment of several centers in a bid to speed up the transformation and upgrading of Linyi Trading Complex -- the national largest wholesale center for commodity trading, logistics distribution and transportation center, e-commerce cluster center, “Belt and Road Initiative” international trade center, and a platform for international convention and exhibition economy. In the first three quarters, the trade volume of Linyi trading complex is 241.296 billion RMB, up 24.7%, with an export volume 4.23 billion USD.

The 6th China Linyi International Trade and Logistics Fair is jointly sponsored by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the CPPCC, Shandong Provincial Government, China General Chamber of Commerce, China Communications and Transportation Association, China National Forestry Industry Association, and undertaken by Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, the CPPCC Shandong Committee, Shandong Provincial Industry and Commerce Bureau and Linyi Municipal Government.

The development of commerce and trade intertwines with that of convention and exhibition, which are reinforcing each other.
