Mainstay of CLITLF: Linyi Trade City

After 30 years of development since the reform and opening up, Linyi Trade City has undergone five phases of“street vendors”,“markets under trellis”, “professional specialized wholesales markets” ,“Linyi wholesales city”and then grew up to the “Linyi Trade City”.From none to being, tiny to large, the markets have continuously been developing and improving. By now, there are 128 specialized wholesale markets with 50,000 merchants engaged the dealing of more than 60,000 kinds of products covering 27 categories. Around the trade city over 200 logistics enterprises waved a huge logistics system which can directly connect to over 1,800 cities above county level and all ports around the country. There are more than 40 e-commerce platforms and 28 leading e-commerce enterprises in Linyi Trade city, which stimulated 40,000 market merchants involving nearly 100,000 employed to do e-business, and more e-commerce parks are under construction. The commercial and logistics industry have become the characteristic, competitive and pillar industries of Linyi which equally shares the wholesale markets business of China with Yiwu, Zhejiang Province.

In recent years, Linyi Trade City has been carrying forward actively the provincial-level comprehensive reform of international trade and making great efforts to improve the trade facilitation. As the internationalization development accelerated,Linyi Trade City is successfully nominated in “China’s Top 100 Cities for Foreign Trade” released by the General Administration Customs of PRC in 2014. In the same year, Linyi Trade City wholesale markets trade volume exceeded 268.7 billion RMB, the total logistics volume valued 405.6 billion RMB, e-commerce volume ran up to 31 billion RMB and foreign trade totaled 6.74 billion RMB. Linyi Trade City entered a new stage of the integrated development of internal-external trade.
