Yi Zi Qian Jin (a single world is worth a thousand pieces of gold)

In the year 672 of Tang Dynasty, to enrich his large collection of stone inscriptions, Emperor Gaozong ordered to create a piece of tablet inscription marking the accomplished monk Xuan Zang in calligraphy style of Wang Xizhi. Eminent monk Huairen undertook the mission. He elaborately collected the characters written by Wang Xizhi that appeared in the tablet inscription one by one, but several characters were still missing. In this case, monk Huairen suggested the emperor to offer a reward that he who offers a character that missed from the inscription written by Wang Xizhi can get a thousand pieces of gold. This is how the Golden Inscription came.
