Langya Academy

According to historical materials, thirty-three academies of classical learning had been successively set up across Linyi in history, only seven were left until late Qing Dynasty. Among those academies, Langya Academy was the only one built at Linyi’s old urban district. Together with Prefecture School and Examination Office, Langya Academy was the agency for Yizhou Prefecture to choose and cultivate talented persons. Langya Academy once had a great collection of books for students and disciples to read.
