Linyi launches freight train service to west China's Xinjiang

Linyi, April 21 -- A new Linyi-Xinjiang freight train departures at Jitie Logistics Park in Linyi city, east China’s Shandong province on April 21, marking Linyi’s logistics industry has taken another step forward in transformation and upgrading,  particularly in adjusting the road-oriented transport to railway-oriented and multimodal one.

Linking east China’s Linyi city with west China’s Xinjiang province tightly in logistics, the new launched freight route contributes a lot to speed up the freight trains and decrease the transportation costs between Linyi and Xinjiang. In terms of scientific layout and shared resources, the operation of the freight is viewed as a key strategy for Linyi to implement the long-term planning in logistics industry. 

In addition to launching the freight to demonstrate its advantages in collecting, distributing and developing goods, Linyi is striving to boost domestic demands by improving the international position as “capital of logistics” while accelerating the integration into Belt and Road Initiative. Based on this, Linyi has been working for the better economic and social achievements.
