Linyi receives millions of tourists during“Double Festival” holiday

During the holiday of National Day and Mid-autumn Festival, the cultural and tourism consumer market in Shandong has shown a significant recovery. Statistics show that Shandong received 62.321 million tourists during the holiday, and its tourism revenue reached 44.93 billion yuan, a restoration to 81.9% and 71.5% of the level over the same period last year respectively.

As passenger consumption picks up faster, people-benefiting subsidies are also boosting holiday consumption. 20 million yuan worth of people-benefiting vouchers have been issued at provincial, municipal, and county levels through multiple platforms. Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism cooperated with the 16 cities in Shandong and organized over 200 cultural and tourism themed consumption activities, and cooperated with 11,358 cultural and tourism companies to provide consumers with more than 340,000 cultural and tourism products.

Sampling survey data show that tourists in Shandong spend 720.94 yuan per capita during the holiday. In the first seven days of the holiday, the comprehensive tourism consumption reached 48.36 billion yuan. The 189 tourist attractions sampled in the survey received 11.249 million tourists, their operating revenue reaching 730 million yuan.
