Int'l students embrace calligraphy culture at hometown of Calligrapher Sage in Linyi

International students from Linyi University engaged in an immersive cultural experience of calligraphy at Former Residence of Wang Xizhi, Linyi City, east China's Shandong Province, Sep 20.

The 21st Calligrapher Sage Culture Festival of Linyi kicked off in Linyi City, east China's Shandong Province on Sep 20, bringing the city a cultural festive atmosphere. At the Former Residence of Wang Xizhi, an event themed "Reappreciating the Preface to the Lanting Collection – The 5th National Calligraphy Conference" was held. Over 100 calligraphers and calligraphy amateurs of all ages gathered to recreate famous works such as Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection (Lan Ting Xu), a masterpiece of classical Chinese calligraphy, and presented their works to audience present.

Florida and Momo, two international students from Linyi University, engaged in an immersive cultural experience by "acknowledging mentors" on-site. They learned calligraphy techniques from young calligraphers and enjoyed the calligraphy cultural atmosphere in the hometown of the legendary Calligrapher Sage Wang Xizhi, a renowned Chinese calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420).
