The State Council has approved that Yimeng Former Revolutionary Base can analogically implement the supportive policies given to the Central Area. The state has also strongly supported the international development of Linyi Commercial Town. With approval of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, Linyi has been carrying out a pilot reform to develop its international trade. Up to now, Linyi has not only been ranked as a significant pole of the economic uplift areas in the west of Shandong, but also listed as directly supported regional metropolitan city in Shandong province. The establishment of the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone and the construction of the Rizhao Iron and Steel Base have created favorable conditions for carrying out the “10 plus 6” industry planning in Linyi.
