With the cultivated land totaling up to over 12,600,000 mu (about 840,000 hectares), Linyi is abundant in agricultural resources. There are large quantities of agricultural products in varieties. The total reserves of water resources amount up to 5.96 billion cubic meters and the annual water supply totals up over 3 billion cubic meters owing to the sound water conservancy projects. Apart from this, Linyi is also distinctly resourceful in minerals. Throughout the whole country, the dolomite here is in the largest storage and minerals like adamas, gypsum, quartz sandstone in the second place. The reserves of limestone also rank among the top in the province. Apart from this, the possible ore of iron resources reaches to 3 billion tons. Furthermore, there are also resources of electric power and natural gas in plenty supply.
