The shrine of Wang Xiang

 The legend of “Lie on Ice for Carps” happened around 200 AD. It tells a story about Wang Xiang, who jumped into the water despite the bitter cold in winter to catch carps for his stepmother. Wang Xiang’s filial piety story is widely recorded by historic materials and has been exerting a far-reaching influence upon later generations.
