Linyi, Dec. 13 - At 10 a.m. on December 13, amid lightly falling snowflakes, two brand-new D101 buses, fully loaded with passengers, departed one after another from Zone B of the Huafeng International Garment City, heading toward the China International Food City. This marks the launch of Linyi's first free snack shuttle bus line, initiated by the China International Food City, with scheduled operations every Saturday and Sunday.
Inside the buses, each passenger received a gift bag filled with an assortment of delicious snacks. Many eagerly opened theirs to sample the treats, quickly filling the vehicles with a sweet aroma and lively chatter.

"Everything is free — the ride, the snacks, and the drinks," stated a staff member. The shuttle service links two major commercial hubs, the Garment City and the Food City, through "free bus rides." The Garment City commercial area serves as a key urban business node, while the Food City has created a blended "food procurement + cultural tourism" experience. The new route not only provides local residents with convenient shopping access but also offers an additional attraction for out-of-town visitors—a chance to "experience Linyi's food culture and feel the city's vibrant atmosphere."

The pick-up point at Zone B of the Huafeng Garment City is located in its front square, where a photo-friendly installation has been set up, drawing many citizens to take pictures on the launch day. A dedicated waiting area is also available inside the market.
"Not only is the ride and the snacks free, but the bus also displays information about the different floors and ongoing promotions at the Food City. It’s incredibly convenient," commented one passenger.
After a brief stop near the south gate of Linyi University, the bus continued along the Shuangling Elevated Road, soon arriving at the China International Food City. A dedicated entrance and exit have been established for the shuttle bus, optimizing internal traffic flow. Upon entering through Gate No. 1, customers are greeted and guided by service staff to facilitate their shopping experience.
The launch of this route represents both a practical implementation of commercial-cultural-tourism integration in Lanshan District and an enhancement of Linyi’s comprehensive tourism offerings. Moving forward, the Lanshan Mall administration will focus on advancing a demonstration project for commercial-cultural-tourism integration, aiming to develop distinctive IPs and core attractions that combine commerce, culture, and tourism to stimulate consumption and upgrade surrounding markets.
