Linyi's imports and exports show steady growth in first 11 months

Linyi, Dec. 16 - Recently, our reporter learned from Linyi customs that in the first 11 months of this year, Linyi's foreign trade totalled 152.69 billion yuan, up by 2.7 percent year-on-year. Of this total, exports totalled 137.82 billion yuan, up 2.9 percent. Imports totalled 14.87 billion yuan, up 1.2 percent.

In terms of foreign trade entities, Linyi had 5,594 enterprises with import and export performance in the first 11 months, a net increase of 627, or 12.6 per cent, compared with the same period last year. Of this total, 5,439 are private enterprises, accounting for 143.79 billion yuan in imports and exports, up 3.3 percent, or 94.2 percent of Linyi's total foreign trade. In terms of trade, Linyi did business with 220 countries (regions) in the first 11 months of this year, with 109.9-billion-yuan worth of imports and exports to the "Belt and Road" countries, up 6 percent or 72 percent.

In terms of major commodities, exports of labour-intensive products and mechanical and electronic products registered steady growth, reaching 49.12 billion yuan and 45.61 billion yuan respectively, up 13.2 percent and 7 percent respectively, and accounting for 68.7 percent of Linyi's total exports. Of this total, textile and garment exports reached 24.8 billion yuan, up by 29.3 percent. Over the same period, exports of new energy vehicles, photovoltaics and lithium-ion batteries surged 92.7 per cent. In terms of imports, metal ores and ores were the largest group, accounting for 37.3 percent of Linyi's total imports, up 75 percent to RMB5.55 billion, up 15.7 percentage points, and driving an increase of 16.2 percentage points.

In the first 11 months of this year, Linyi's procurement and export volume reached 52.44 billion yuan, up 17.1 percent and accounting for 34.3 percent of the total value of imports and exports. Next, Linyi customs will pay more attention to the main line of high-quality development of Linyi's foreign trade and continuously improve the “Through train (intelligent service platform developed by customs to continuously optimize the business environment)” institution.
