Team up to go global: Linyi boosts Intl logistics and global trade connectivity

2026-04-27

Boasting a market transaction volume of 708.53 billion yuan, total logistics value of 1.08299 trillion yuan, and foreign trade import and export volume of 124.52 billion yuan, Linyi Trade City delivered an outstanding performance in 2025. Standing at the starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, where will Linyi steer its opening-up drive?

The Linyi Trade City High-Quality Development Promotion Conference held on April 27 offered a clear answer. Centering on internationalization and digital transformation, Linyi Trade City will advance integrated development of online and offline operations as well as domestic and foreign trade, striving to build itself into a key strategic pillar for Shandong Province's high-level opening up.

In 2025, Linyi hosted 267 overseas exhibitions and trade fairs across 52 countries, together with 104 inbound events for foreign merchants including the RCEP Import Commodities Expo and the International Purchasers Conference. A total of 70 overseas warehouses have been put into operation. The city has added 10 new trading partners, bringing the total number of countries and regions with economic and trade ties to 222. The driving effect of its landmark "Going Global" initiative continues to unfold.

Official statistics show that the number of private enterprises with actual import and export performance in Linyi reached 5,720, a year-on-year increase of 16%, accounting for 97.3% of the city's total foreign trade operators and emerging as a major force bolstering Linyi's foreign trade growth.

In 2025, Linyi Customs issued 87,000 certificates of origin covering goods worth 27.62 billion yuan, up 1.2% and 17.1% year on year respectively. These certificates are expected to help local enterprises secure around 800 million yuan in tariff reductions in destination markets.

At present, Linyi has launched three key facilities — the International Road Transport Gathering Center, Convenience Service Center and Vehicle Inspection Center. The city ranks first nationwide in the number of registered TIR vehicles and fourth in TIR trip departures. Building on this foundation, Linyi will further expand international road transport routes and capacity, with a focus on deepening cooperation with Central Asia, Southeast Asia and other key markets. It will scale up new international road transport routes including TIR and GMS services. The city aims to incubate over 50 leading international road transport enterprises and achieve more than 2,200 international road transport trips throughout the year.
