Shandong's only pediatric national regional medical center opens in Linyi

Shanghai Children's Medical Center Linyi Hospital is scheduled to officially open on June 26, marking a zero breakthrough of national-level regional medical centers in Linyi. As the only pediatric national regional medical center in Shandong Province, the project is a key livelihood project under the national Healthy China initiative.

With a total investment of 1.885 billion yuan, the hospital covers 123 mu with a building area of 202,100 square meters, equipped with 1,000 beds and more than 2,000 sets of high-end medical equipment. Adopting the full brand, technology and management translation model from Shanghai Children's Medical Center, the hospital has received 700 person-times of expert support, introducing 71 new medical technologies, including 20 blank-filling provincial and municipal pediatric medical technologies.

The hospital will provide high-standard and homogeneous pediatric medical services for nearly 50 million people in the border areas of Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan and Anhui provinces. It greatly optimizes the regional high-quality medical resource layout and makes up for the shortboard of high-end pediatric medical services in southern Shandong.

The landing and operation of the top-tier pediatric medical center fully demonstrates Linyi's strength in undertaking high-quality national medical resources. Its cross-regional high-end medical service model helps balance national medical resource allocation and sets a provincial-level example for promoting hierarchical medical treatment and regional medical coordination across China.
