Over 180,000 candidates sit for 2026 high school entrance examination in Linyi

Linyi's 2026 junior high school entrance examination started on June 13. A total of 183,000 Grade 9 students and 175,000 Grade 8 students took part in the exam across 131 test centers and 153 test centers respectively.

This is the last exam under the traditional policy before the 2027 reform. Relevant departments have completed comprehensive arrangements for examination organization, security and services to ensure the exam proceeds smoothly.

Linyi always attaches importance to education development. The city will steadily advance the reform of the high school entrance examination system, optimize education resources allocation and promote the high-quality development of basic education.
