60 couples take public buses to collective wedding ceremony in Linyi

Sixty newly-wed couples boarded public buses to head for their wedding venue on Sept 28 as the 2026 Linyi collective wedding ceremony kicked off at Wuzhouhu Square. Replacing luxury vehicles with public transport, the event advocates simple, eco-friendly wedding customs.

The couples rode together on city buses, sharing joy and celebrating their marriage in a low-carbon, public-transport style. The collective wedding promotes new marriage traditions, discouraging expensive betrothal gifts and lavish banquets.
