9‑day countdown for the 26th Shandong Province Sports Games

A nine‑day countdown has officially started for the opening  of The 26th Shandong Province Sports Games, which will be hosted at Linyi Olympic Sports Park on August 26. Preparations for the Games are pressing ahead across Linyi at full speed.

Multiple special working groups carry out final‑stage work including venue equipment debugging, large‑scale theatrical show rehearsals, volunteer systematic training, traffic scheme optimization, food‑safety inspections and multi‑scenario emergency drills. Thirty‑three newly‑built and renovated competition venues distributed in 12 counties and districts of Linyi have passed acceptance checks and are fully ready for the Games.

The Games set 38 major sports categories and 1,081 minor events, attracting more than 13,000 registered athletes together with over 3,000 coaches and referees from all over Shandong Province. Following the concepts of smart, green, innovative and shared events, Linyi polishes every detail to deliver a high‑standard comprehensive sports gala.

Complete multi‑platform live‑broadcast arrangements are in place, enabling nationwide online audiences to watch the opening ceremony remotely. The whole city creates a festive welcoming atmosphere, showcasing the spiritual outlook of the old revolutionary Yimeng base for athletes and spectators participating in the Games.
