Yimeng Greets Provincial Athletes at a Gala of Spirit, Youth and Tech Innovation

The 26th Shandong Province Sports Games are scheduled to take place in Linyi from August 26 to September 5, 2026. The opening ceremony will be held at the main stadium of Linyi Olympic Sports Park on August 26.

Marking a milestone in the 76‑year history of the provincial games, this will be the first time the multi‑sport event is held in a former revolutionary base area. It also represents Linyi's debut as the host city for such a prestigious provincial‑level comprehensive sporting event.

Athletes from across Shandong will gather in Linyi to compete in a variety of disciplines, including athletics, swimming, and team ball sports. The Games are expected to highlight the city's rapid urban development, rich revolutionary heritage, and dynamic cultural vitality, while giving a strong boost to the growth of local sports and cultural sectors.
