Caribbean media influencers explore cross-border livestreaming in Linyi

2026-10-21

Eleven online influencers and journalists from Caribbean countries including the Bahamas and Guyana arrived in Linyi in East China's Shandong province on Oct 21 for a three-day visit focused on trade, culture and cross-border commerce.

The group's first stop was Shandong Daotian Technology Co, a local agricultural technology company, where members observed livestreaming sessions run for overseas buyers and learned how local produce is presented, priced and shipped to international customers.

The visit is part of a broader effort by Linyi to bring foreign media practitioners and content creators to the city, giving them firsthand exposure to its wholesale markets, manufacturing base and cultural heritage.

Linyi is home to Linyi Trade City, one of China's largest wholesale market clusters, and has in recent years expanded into cross-border e-commerce and market procurement trade.
