Preparations for the 5th RCEP Regional (Shandong) Import Expo, which is scheduled to open in Linyi on April 20, has been basically completed, with 400 companies signed up to fill more than 1,200 booths, reporters learned from the organizing committee on April 1.

Two national-level events will be held concurrently during the expo: the launching ceremony of the "China Foreign Trade High-Quality Products Tour" and the launching ceremony of the "Overseas Chinese Help Thousands of Enterprises and Products Go Global".
This year's expo has set up 19 national pavilions in the national image exhibition area, the highest number in the history of the expo. Meanwhile, 5 international friendship city pavilions have been established, and the exhibition recruitment task has been completed.
The quality‑of‑life zone has already filled its 145 exhibitor slots, 120 of which are foreign‑related enterprises. Highlights include the ASEAN Pavilion, curated by the China‑ASEAN Expo Group and featuring more than 20 high‑quality exhibitors, along with Fortune Global 500 companies such as Yamaha, Metro and Tesla.
Meanwhile, the export‑quality products zone will depart from traditional booth‑based layouts in favor of an immersive, experience‑driven approach. Divided into themed sections for food, handicrafts and daily necessities, it has attracted more than 100 registered exhibitors, with plans to add roughly 30 more.
With all preparatory work proceeding in an orderly fashion, the organizing committee said it would continue to tighten schedules, enhance outreach to domestic and international guests and buyers, and coordinate media resources across online and offline channels. The approach, the committee added, emphasizes both cost‑efficiency and tangible outcomes to ensure a smooth execution of the event.
