Mengyin crisp peaches realize same-day delivery to major coastal cities

Mengyin County is China's largest peach planting base with 803,000 mu of orchards. A complete industrial chain covering planting, centralized purchasing, cold chain logistics and live-stream sales has taken shape, solving the long-standing problem of delayed fruit transportation.

Farmers pick peaches before dawn to retain freshness. Nearly 100 purchasing markets equipped with cold storage facilities distribute fruits nationwide via highway fleets and express cold chain lines. Multiple early, mid and late ripening varieties extend the sales season from late May to mid-October. Livestream live broadcasts in orchards drive online orders exceeding 20 million boxes last year, enabling peaches picked in the early morning to reach Shanghai, Shenzhen and other coastal cities the same evening.
