Skateboarding events debut at Shandong Provincial Games in Linyi

The 26th Shandong Provincial Games added skateboarding as an official competitive sport, with finals hosted at Linyi Municipal Sports School starting June 22. Skateboarding, a popular youth sport, fills gaps in the province’s mass sports event system.

Sixty athletes from seven prefecture-level cities compete over three days across street and bowl park categories for junior, youth and senior groups. Linyi dispatched two athletes to join the competition. Professional venues, volunteer service teams and on-site medical support guarantee smooth, safe matches for all participants.

Linyi will continue to build professional youth sports venues and host diversified provincial mass sports competitions, fueling the development of youth fitness and urban sports culture.
