Mechanized rice transplanting speeds up summer farming in Yihe New District

Large-scale mechanical rice transplanting is wrapping up at Shalan Farm, a 3,000-mu rice base in Xianggong Subdistrict, Yihe New District, Linyi. The farm adopts a combined operation mode of manual seedling sorting and machine transplanting, deploying four to five rice transplanters simultaneously.

Mechanized planting delivers uniform seedling spacing and standardized growth conditions, with efficiency 50 times higher than manual work. The technology solves long working hours and high labor costs that plagued traditional rice cultivation. Farm managers coordinate agricultural machinery and manpower, arrange daily operation schedules and seize sunny weather to guarantee autumn grain output with modern agricultural technology.

The summer farming practice showcases Linyi's progress in agricultural mechanization, laying a solid foundation for stable grain production and modernized rural agriculture.
