Plant observation classes carried out at Peony Garden in Mazhan primary school, Yishui

Zhujiang Complete Primary School in Mazhan Town, Yishui County integrates labor education and natural education by organizing outdoor plant observation activities in its campus peony garden.

Students observe peony leaf texture, branch structure and growth cycle in groups, taking field notes and drawing sketches. Teachers combine plant science with traditional Chinese flower culture, narrating cultural allusions of peonies to link textbook knowledge with real objects. The school plans to launch more farming and natural practice courses to boost children's curiosity and hands-on ability.
