Safety helmet campaign promotes traffic safety awareness in Linyi

A city-wide publicity campaign themed "Safe Helmets Protect Every Trip" was launched across Linyi to raise road safety awareness for electric two-wheeler riders.

Traffic police set up publicity booths at residential compounds, market plazas, campus gates and road intersections during peak travel hours. Officers distributed safety leaflets and demonstrated correct helmet wearing to riders of e-bikes, electric motorcycles and delivery vehicles.

Law enforcement teams carried out standardized traffic patrols to remind non-compliant riders. First-time offenders received verbal warnings and free helmet promotional gifts instead of fines, focusing on educational guidance over punishment.

Short safety videos and street interviews were shared via local official WeChat accounts and short video platforms, covering hazards of riding without helmets and real traffic accident cases. Schools and communities organized themed lectures to popularize traffic safety knowledge among teenagers and residents.

The campaign combines law enforcement, on-site education and online promotion to cultivate good riding habits, cutting traffic accident risks for electric vehicle riders across Linyi.
