Silver‑haired couples celebrate Qixi festival at Yindong community in Linyi

On August 19, Qixi Festival, Yindong Community of Yinquanshan Sub‑district, Lanshan District, Linyi, held the “Love on Qixi” themed event for elderly couples.

Senior couples took part in diverse romantic activities to mark the traditional Chinese festival. They pressed concentric hand‑prints as lasting tokens of affection, danced ballroom dances and presented roses to one another. These warm moments fully demonstrated the romance and tender affection of couples who have grown old together.

The event interprets the fine traditional Chinese concept of “holding one’s hand and growing old together”. It enriches the spiritual and cultural life of elderly residents in the community.
