Rowing events of the 26th Shandong Province Sports Games conclude successfully in Linshu

The rowing competitions of The 26th Shandong Province Sports Games finished on September 1 at Longtan Lake in Jiaolong Aviation Town, Linshu County. The five‑day contest gathered 296 athletes coming from 15 prefecture‑level cities across Shandong Province.

Competitions were divided into group A and group B, covering men's, women's and mixed‑gender events over 2000‑meter and 4000‑meter distances. In total, 34 gold medals were awarded during the rowing finals.

Athletes raced hard across rippling lake waters, showing outstanding physical stamina, psychological quality and the fighting spirit of young sports participants. Local organizing committee completed venue arrangement, water‑surface safety management, referee coordination and volunteer services. All events proceeded smoothly without safety incidents.

As one of key outdoor water‑sport disciplines of the Games, the rowing tournament has accumulated valuable experience for hosting large‑scale aquatic events at county‑level venues in Linyi.
