“Science popularization tour across Yimeng” sparks children's passion for science

During National Science Popularization Month in September, Linyi Science and Technology Museum launched its Science popularization tour across Yimeng campaign. Mobile science vans visited primary schools in Mengyin County, bringing hands‑on interactive science shows to rural youngsters.

The event consists of four major modules: mobile‑science‑vehicle interactive exhibits, magic science shows, hands‑on science‑craft workshops and anti‑cult‑warning education. Students operated hands‑on experimental devices covering mechanics, optics and energy, watched spectacular science demonstrations and took part in creative handicraft sessions. Anti‑cult‑publicity sessions guided teenagers to respect science and reject superstition.

Science‑popularization resources are delivered directly to campuses in mountainous rural areas, bridging gaps in science education between urban and countryside schools. The lively, experiential activities plant seeds of scientific curiosity and innovation in children's hearts.
