Liuqin opera brought to primary school students in Linyi

The Linyi Liuqin Opera Inheritance and Protection Center visited the Mengshan campus of Linyi No 2 Experimental Primary School in East China's Shandong province on Oct 12, holding a themed event on passing on the Yimeng spirit through traditional opera.

Performers presented classic Liuqin opera excerpts, introduced the art form's history, vocal characteristics and accompanying instruments, and guided students hands-on in learning opera performance, helping intangible cultural heritage take root among young people.
