Tancheng subdistrict develops specialty farming to raise rural incomes

Villagers in Lingpo village, Tancheng subdistrict, Tancheng county, Linyi, were picking tomatoes on Oct 16, as the subdistrict's specialty farming program entered its autumn harvest.

The subdistrict has promoted a model linking Party branches, cooperatives and farming households, growing crops suited to local conditions to raise collective and household incomes.

Tancheng county, in southern Shandong, is known for its vegetable and rice production and has expanded greenhouse cultivation in recent years.
