Yinan county runs food safety campaign with inspections and outreach

The public security bureau of Yinan county, Linyi, joined the county's market supervision administration on Oct 21 to run a food safety awareness campaign, combining public outreach with inspections of a large supermarket.

Officers handed out information materials to residents on how to identify unsafe food and where to report problems, while joint inspectors checked the supermarket's storage, labelling and handling practices.

The campaign is part of a national food safety awareness week and follows the "four strictest" requirements on food safety — the strictest standards, supervision, penalties and accountability.
