Lanshan district, the core area of Linyi Trade City, is driving the international expansion of locally made products by combining its strengths in commerce, logistics, and industrial clusters alongside targeted policy support.

The district has rolled out measures including customs facilitation, subsidies for overseas exhibitions, and incentives for international market development. These efforts are assisting companies in reducing costs and exploring new channels.

At Shandong Huange Decoration Co Ltd, imported continuous flat-pressing equipment from Germany produces ultra-thin fiberboard. The company specializes in 1- to 9-millimeter boards for high-end overseas demand and addresses a gap in the domestic market.

Lanshan also encourages wood processing, textiles, biochemicals, and other competitive industries to increase research investment, upgrade smart production lines, and align with international quality and environmental standards. For instance, Shandong Mingying Biotechnology Co Ltd extracts soybean lecithin from byproducts of soybean oil processing, converting it into organic fertilizer and generating 200 million yuan ($27.8 million) in revenue last year.

At Linyi Jinling Cloth Co Ltd, 198 new machines are improving efficiency in printing, dyeing, and functional finishing. Their speed, up to 850 revolutions per minute, helps reduce labor costs and customize fabrics for overseas buyers.

Backed by 136 wholesale markets, cross-border e-commerce platforms, overseas warehouses, and multimodal logistics links, Lanshan is transitioning from individual exports to cluster-based global expansion, strengthening the reach of Linyi-made products worldwide.
