Lingang Economic Development Area develops circular economy for green industrial upgrade

Lingang Economic Development Area of Linyi has built a complete circular economy industrial chain focusing on waste recycling and waste gas reutilization. Enterprises adopt advanced technologies to process waste lead-acid batteries and coking gas, cutting carbon emissions and improving resource utilization efficiency significantly.

The waste battery recycling project reduces carbon emissions by 50% and energy consumption by 30%. Coking gas is purified into high-purity hydrogen and other reusable energy products, achieving zero discharge of hazardous waste. In 2026, the zone has launched 140 projects with a total investment of 96.8 billion yuan. From January to April, its growth rate of industrial added value and fiscal revenue ranked first in Linyi.
