Shandong Chunwang Food Tech in Linyi is increasing its production capacity in Linyi as demand for its peanut and other nut products connects local agriculture with domestic and international markets.
Supported by the city as a key food-processing enterprise, Chunwang has become one of China's leading producers of canned products by output and production value. In 2025, its exports reached 46 million yuan ($6.4 million), with products mainly sold to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. This year, the company plans to raise exports to 60 million yuan.
For its peanut and nut food-processing project in Bancheng Industrial Park, Lanshan district, the main structure is finished, and production lines are being installed and tested. This key municipal project, with a total investment of 320 million yuan, covers 37.38 mu (2.49 hectares). Set to begin operations in June, it will introduce three automated nut-processing lines with an annual capacity of 10,000 metric tons.
The new lines will automate screening, canning, bag sealing, and capping, improving production efficiency by more than 10 percent. In the capping process, one worker can complete 7,000 units in 10 hours, while an automated line can handle 40,000 units in the same period.
To ensure quality, Chunwang sources peanuts from high-quality areas, including the Jiaodong Peninsula. Its products are in local supermarkets and national retail chains, with orders already booked through June. The company said the new project will help upgrade automation, enhance product quality, and strengthen its brand.
