Linyi's wholesale markets achieve remarkable transformation via commerce-culture-tourism integration

Traditional wholesale markets in Linyi have embraced innovative development by integrating commerce, culture and tourism. Huafeng International Garment City and China International Food City, two representative venues, have been renovated into 3A-level tourist attractions, transforming simple trading hubs into immersive experience destinations.

Huafeng International Garment City boasts over 3,000 merchants and an annual transaction volume exceeding 10 billion yuan. It has added cultural exhibition areas, intangible cultural heritage experience zones and tourist service facilities, with its average daily passenger flow surging by 150% year on year. Covering 360,000 square meters, China International Food City features exhibition halls of international brands and rooftop scenic areas. It held a series of promotional events, attracting over 600,000 visitors during the Spring Shopping Festival and achieving transaction volume of over 2 billion yuan. The two markets have launched tourist bus routes, preferential policies linked with scenic spots and customized shopping services, attracting tourist groups from home and abroad. Many local merchants have also built independent brands and expanded overseas sales channels.

The integrated development model has injected new vitality into Linyi's traditional commerce. Linyi will further advance the upgrading of professional markets, deepen the integration of commerce, culture and tourism, and build a distinctive business and tourism brand for the city.
