Linshu county develops blueberry industry amid cold chain upgrading

Linshu's Daxing Town boasts over 20,000 mu of blueberry plantations with an annual fresh fruit output of 16,000 tons. Restricted by insufficient cold storage and logistics capacity, the industry faced market risks from short shelf life and limited sales radius in the past.

Local authorities targeted industrial bottlenecks and pushed cold chain infrastructure construction, built centralized fresh-keeping warehouses and standardized sorting workshops. Integrated planting, storage, processing and tourism extended the industrial chain. Linkages with urban supermarkets, e-commerce platforms and wholesale markets expand sales channels and reduce unsold inventory risks for growers.

Linyi will scale up cold chain support for characteristic fruits across counties, improve the whole industrial chain of local special agricultural products and strengthen the competitiveness of rural featured industries.
