Linyi Hi-tech Zone revitalizes idle village assets to boost rural vitalization

Linyi Hi-tech Zone takes a sound view of political performance to activate rural development vitality by revitalizing idle factory buildings and school premises in Xileishi Village, Luoxi Subdistrict.

The village built a 2,100-square-meter standard plant last year yet faced long-term vacancy. After cadres conducted grassroots surveys, the zone investment group coordinated matchmaking between the village and Shandong Tainais New Materials Co., Ltd. Authorities provided full-cycle one-stop administrative services to resolve water, electricity, environmental assessment and land approval barriers. The enterprise also rented an abandoned village primary school.

The two revitalized assets generate an additional collective income of around 140,000 yuan per year, offering local residents nearby job opportunities and realizing win-win outcomes for enterprises, village collectives and villagers. The zone will replicate this asset revitalization model across villages to expand collective revenue and deliver tangible benefits to rural residents.
