Lanling boosts transparent, efficient and people-centered government services via open government day

Lanling County held the open government day event on July 3 with the theme of "Zero-distance Government Transparency, Building a New Future for Lanling", inviting NPC deputies, CPPCC members, residents and journalists to visit local public service centers for immersive experience of government governance achievements.

As the core demonstration activity of Lanling's 2026 open government month, the event focuses on optimizing business environment, improving people's livelihood services and enhancing grassroots governance. It builds an interactive communication bridge among the government, enterprises and the public, forming a closed-loop working mechanism of demand collection, targeted rectification, public disclosure and follow-up supervision.

The county has launched a batch of groundbreaking service reforms. The employee retirement service, which previously required visiting six windows and up to 60 working days, can now be completed in more than ten minutes with only four documents. For second-hand house transactions, residents only need one authorization letter to realize 24-hour synchronous update of water, electricity and gas account information, eliminating repeated running procedures. Multiple government departments showcased achievements in online service reform, cross-departmental collaboration and process optimization during the event.

In the symposium, seven functional departments reported work progress and responded on-site to public suggestions concerning grassroots services and elderly-friendly facilities. Nearly 30 themed open activities will be carried out across the county in July. Lanling will continue to standardize and brand open government work, empowering high-quality social and economic development with transparent and efficient services.
