Shijing town builds integrated industrial and cultural rural revitalization model

Shijing Town of Fei County shapes a balanced development pattern featuring agriculture, clean energy and red cultural tourism, transforming rocky barren land into multi-industry wealth hubs under the guidance of integrated rural revitalization thinking.

For agriculture, the town develops large-scale Chinese prickly ash, millet and yellow peach planting bases, and sets up intensive deep-processing factories operated by Zhongshi Agriculture to raise agricultural added value. New mushroom cultivation projects are built in standardized greenhouses to expand villagers’ stable income sources. In clean energy sectors, a 50MW wind power project and 76MW distributed photovoltaic stations have been put into operation, making full use of mountainous terrain for green power production. Relying on the former Special Committee Site of Shandong-Henan-Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region, Shijing Town creates a "red research + farmhouse homestay + agricultural market" industrial chain. It invested over 10 million yuan to upgrade tourist service facilities and held four successive cultural tourism fairs that attracted more than 50,000 visitors. Meanwhile, the town launched a series of livelihood projects including rural water supply renovation and education infrastructure upgrading with total investment exceeding 90 million yuan, advancing coordinated construction of four functional zones: red tourism zone, mining industry zone, new energy zone and characteristic agriculture zone.

The multi-industry integrated development mode of Shijing Town offers a replicable sample for mountain township revitalization.
