Yihe New Area leads Linyi on major economic indicators

Yihe New Area took the lead across Linyi on multiple core economic indicators in the first half of 2026, backed by balanced progress in industry, projects, urban construction and reform.

Official statistics show nine major economic growth indicators of Yihe New Area outperformed the municipal average. The district led the whole city in completed investment of technological transformation projects, number of provincial key projects, total import and export volume and utilized foreign capital.

Strong manufacturing underpinned stable growth. Its industrial output of industrial enterprises above designated size hit 54.87 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth rate of 10.2 percent. High-end engineering equipment manufacturing generated 21.17 billion yuan, accounting for 73 percent of Linyi's total output in this sector. Modern pharmaceutical output grew by 36.4 percent to 5.19 billion yuan, contributing 23.5 percent to the city's pharmaceutical growth. Leading manufacturers including Lingong Machinery and Ganli Pharmaceutical delivered robust growth, with 74 enterprises recording annual output above 100 million yuan.

Accelerated project construction served as a key growth engine. A total of 340 key projects were under construction with a 78.8 percent commencement rate, completing 12.6 billion yuan in investment. Institutional reforms streamlined approval procedures, cutting project preparation time by 60 percent. Cases such as Jinli Group’s industrial park renovation in 49 days demonstrated the district’s efficient service mechanism.

Urban vitality was fully unlocked via infrastructure upgrades. Thirty-five urban construction projects kicked off in H1 with 4.53 billion yuan invested. The exhibition center with 200,000 square meters of venue space hosted 23 expos generating 4.3 billion yuan in transaction volume. Retail sales and online consumption maintained steady growth amid upgraded living facilities.

Deepened reform and opening-up delivered new momentum. Eleven major reform initiatives and ten provincial-level pilot programs were rolled out. State-owned asset restructuring boosted revenue by 133 million yuan. Total import and export volume reached 21.37 billion yuan, while utilized foreign capital stood at 31.34 million US dollars, both ranking first in Linyi. Bonded logistics and cross-border e-commerce maintained rapid expansion.

Yihe New Area will continue to leverage its advantages to inject stronger growth momentum into Linyi's bid to become a trillion-yuan GDP city.
