Linyi upgrades industries via whole-chain targeted development

Linyi takes industrial chain development as the top priority for industrial growth in the start year of the 15th Five-Year Plan.

The city has formed 13 landmark industrial chains covering stainless steel, construction machinery, food processing and home furniture. A special headquarters mechanism with municipal leaders as chain chiefs coordinates all 9 municipal functional departments to set up industrial working groups.

Three industrial atlases (industry layout, investment, technology) and six enterprise lists guide targeted investment, technological renovation and talent introduction. Authorities implement chain extension, supplementary and upgrading projects to resolve fragmented small-scale industrial problems.

In the first half of 2026, 3,291 chain-related enterprises achieved total output value of 685.3 billion yuan, contributing 93.3 percent of the city's above-scale industrial growth. Major projects covering new energy vehicles and intelligent equipment accelerated construction.

Linyi will continue to optimize the whole-chain development system, foster new quality productive forces and push forward the city's goal of hitting one trillion yuan regional GDP.
