Linyi-based enterprises are leveraging the China Market digital-trade platform to significantly shorten delivery cycles for goods exported to African markets such as Guinea.
On Aug 24, workers at Shandong Daji Yiming International Logistics Park were preparing building materials for export to the West African nation. Linyi Baijuyi International Trade Co Ltd, founded in 2011, specializes in exporting hardware, building panels, tires, and daily-use consumer goods manufactured in Linyi. Since setting up operations in the logistics park in April this year, its exports have risen markedly.
Guinea has strong demand for infrastructure supplies and daily commodities, yet its local manufacturing capacity remains weak. In the past, shipments from Linyi to Guinea normally took around four months and sometimes as long as six. However, with the China Market platform's integrated logistics and supply-chain services, transit time has been shortened to just45 days.
The platform provides a one-stop solution for export procedures, including vehicle loading, transportation, and customs documentation. It also provides financing covering70 percent of freight and cargo costs, greatly easing cash flow pressures. Previously, the company shipped only one container every two months; now, it ships more than 10 containers per month.
Looking ahead, Baijuyi is planning to build an overseas warehouse in Guinea as part of its strategy to deepen its presence in West Africa, improve local service capabilities, and build a regional supply-chain hub. This marks a shift from cross-border trade to localized operations, effectively bridging the "last mile" of China-Africa trade.
