In the manufacturing sector, Linyi hosts 15 UAV manufacturing and sales enterprises and more than 10 key component suppliers covering engine cylinders, composite materials, batteries and motors, with total annual industrial output hitting roughly 100 million yuan. Three local products have been shortlisted as provincial key low‑altitude‑sector products, and an axial‑flux motor for low‑altitude aircraft claimed the 2025 Shandong first‑set‑of‑equipment honor.

Yundong Pilot (Shandong) Aviation Technology Co., Ltd., jointly invested by Jiangsu Digital Eagle Technology and Linyi New‑Quality Industrial Park, runs three specialized production lines for heavy‑load logistics UAVs with a payload range from 50 kg to 200 kg, with an annual capacity of 1,000 units. The firm has relocated its whole logistics‑UAV business headquarters to Linyi and begun pre‑research on 1.5‑ton heavy‑duty UAVs for future branch‑route cargo transport. Its integrated platform can schedule multi‑rotor aircraft, vertical‑take‑off‑and‑landing fixed‑wing UAVs and ground counter‑measure equipment simultaneously.

Beyond hardware production, Linyi builds a systematic talent‑training system. Linyi University sets up a low‑altitude aircraft power research institute. Linyi Vocational College co‑founded Linyi Low‑Altitude Economy Institute together with industry partners, opening micro‑specialties on UAV application technology. Students assemble, debug and test real‑life UAVs on campus. Graduate trainees can obtain official Civil Aviation Administration of China UAV pilot licenses.

Students take part in real‑world assignments including agricultural plant‑protection operations. In summer 2025, student volunteer teams completed pesticide spraying across more than 500 mu of farmland in Tancheng County within one morning. Over 1,400 UAVs across the city are deployed for crop disease prevention, fertilization and other agricultural‑sector tasks, greatly lifting farming efficiency.
