Special e‑commerce livestream skill‑building sessions have been held in Linshu County to empower rural women. Supported by the Rural Empowerment Center project of the China Women’s Development Foundation, the training helps local females master short‑video shooting, livestream operation and product marketing skills, turning mobile phones into new farming tools for rural revitalization.
More than 120 rural women from towns and sub‑districts across Linshu took part in the hands‑on training programme. Instead of heavy theoretical lectures, instructors prioritized practical drills covering account setup, short‑video clip editing, livestream room layout, live sales pitches and community group operation. Trainees practiced real‑time broadcasting for local specialties including willow weaving, velvet embroidery and farm produce.
The project targets women who want to launch home‑based businesses. It builds a complete support chain featuring targeted training, on‑site practice and follow‑up incubation. Linshu Women’s Federation will keep organizing advanced training courses, connect high‑quality e‑commerce resources and set‑up mutual‑aid exchange platforms, enabling more rural women to seize digital‑economy opportunities and increase income at their hometown.
